SGU and BKPSDM Tangerang Collaborate to Advance Civil Servants’ Digital Skills

Swiss German University (SGU) continues to strengthen its commitment to knowledge sharing and public sector collaboration through the participation of its faculty members in a webinar organized by the Regional Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM) of Tangerang Regency. Held on Friday, April 25, 2025, the webinar carried the theme “Digital Transformation and Cybersecurity” and targeted civil servants (ASN), including both PNS and PPPK personnel.

The event marked a fruitful collaboration between SGU and BKPSDM Kabupaten Tangerang, aiming to equip government employees with updated insights into digital technology and cybersecurity challenges.

Two distinguished SGU lecturers served as keynote speakers. Dr. Eka Budiarto, S.T., M.Sc., Head of the Master of Information Technology Program, delivered a comprehensive session on the importance of digital transformation in government institutions. He emphasized the need for adaptive leadership and the integration of digital systems to improve public services.

Meanwhile, Dr. Ir. Charles Lim, M.Sc., B.Sc., Deputy Head of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, led a session on cybersecurity. He highlighted the growing threats in the digital era and shared best practices to protect organizational data and systems from cyber attacks.

The webinar, which took place from 08.00 to 11.30 WIB via Zoom, was attended by 1.414 participants from various government departments. It also featured interactive Q&A sessions and provided participants with free e-certificates and continuing professional development credits (JP).

This initiative reflects SGU’s ongoing efforts to contribute to national capacity building and digital literacy enhancement in the public sector.
