Call for Proposals: CENTRAL COMMUNITY SERVICE FUND (CCSF) PROGRAM for 2023/2024

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Starting year 2018 Swiss German University (SGU) has provided the academic staff with resources for Community Service which is managed within the university, called the Central Community Service Fund (CCSF). The fund can be used by the academic staff to do the Community Service activities.

Currently SGU is categorized as a university with “Memuaskan” status for Community Service, which is the third rank to obtain and certain amount of Community Service grant from Kemendikbud Ristek. Therefore, in the effort to leverage the academic staff activity in Community Service, SGU encourage internal Community Service Fund under CCSF scheme starting year period of 2023/2024. So that the SGU lecturers will have the opportunities to do the Community Service activities and hope will get the grants from Kemendikbud Ristek.

FELLOWSHIP SUPPORT

  1. CCSF will be provided, on competitive basis, for a Community Service team implementing research result covering various Community Service The Team will be mentioned as Central Community Service Team (CCS Team) from now on in this guidelines.
  2. All the Proposal CCSF must be submitted to Dikti to get external grants (Simlitabmas).
  3. Proposal can be written in English or Indonesian.
  4. A multidisciplinary approach that is in line with the established research centers is encouraged.
  5. The CCS Team, comprises of one team leader and minimum one additional team member, is expected to write and submit a Community Service proposal to the Academic Research and Community Service following a template attached as the appendix of this guidelines.
  6. The CCS Team proposals will be evaluated by CCS Reviewer Committee based on the criteria listed in the appendix. The results of the CCS Reviewer Committee evaluation is final.
  7. CCS Reviewer Committee is led by the Vice Rector of Academic Affairs, with members composed of the ARCS Directorate and appointed academician(s) who has experiences in Community Service and publication and holds minimum a Doctorate degree.
  8. For CCSF 2022/2023 Program, the project duration is maximum 8 (eight) months, from 1 October 2023 to max. End of 15 June 2024. The grant is limited to a maximum of IDR 10 Millions
  9. The CCSF Team who is granted with the CCS funding is obliged to make a presentation in national and/or international community service conference/workshop/seminar (the conference should be conducted at the latest 1 (one) month after the project end), and to submit at least one article to national journal. The submission of the later should be conducted in a time frame not later than 2 (two) months after the end of the community service
  10. All academic staff are encouraged to develop and submit community service Please use the CCSF proposal template as in Appendix 1.
  11. One lecturer can participate in max. 2 (two) CCSF projects, as CCS Team Leader in 1 (one) CCSF project and as a member of other CCSF project.
  12. Community service project must includes at least 2 students as the team member
  13. Team leaders and team members are not allowed to get honorarium.
  14. Honorarium can be allocated for assistance in submitting new proposals (Coaching) funding from Dikti, the private sector, and other external fund sources.

TIMELINE

  1. The CCSF Team proposals are to be submitted in September 25th, 2023.
  2. The CCSF Teams will explain their proposals by presentation between 26-28 September 2023.
  3. The CCSF Committee will evaluate the proposals, the screening results will be announced on between 2-4 Oktober 2023.
  4. The approved CCSF Team, represented by the Leader, will sign a contract with SGU for the disbursement of CCSF fund will be on 6 Oktober 2023.
  5. The approved CCSF Team will be monitored and evaluated in January-February 2024.
  6. The final report has to be submitted at the latest 1 (one) weeks after the end of community service project.
