Starting academic career in Swiss German University in 2006, I departed from industrial work in Indonesian pharmaceutical industry: Alpharma (Actavis Indonesia) and AIM Pharmaceutical Industry Consulting. I graduated as Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Indonesia in 1999, then continuing postgrad study and obtained my Master of Science in Biotechnology from The University of New South Wales, Australia in 2001 and PhD in Agroindustrial Technology from Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB University), Indonesia in 2015.
My scientific interest is in industrial biotechnology, especially in fermentation technology and bioprocess engineering. My research revolve around application of fermentation technology in biofuel and Indonesian traditional food development.
I promotes scientific minds in Indonesian youngster through Indonesian Fun Science Award, Youtube Channel (Kimiasutra, Scientiae Comedium, Baca Jurnal), and podcast (Random Jumat). I also doing professional stand-up comedy in my spare-time.
